On 9 February 2025, AATUJA co-organised — alongside the Embassy of Japan — the Japanese Culture Festival at the Cité de la Culture in Tunis.
The event drew a large audience around performances of Taiko, Japanese calligraphy, martial arts and Ikebana. Visitors young and old were able to try their hand at these disciplines and discover the richness of a culture that, from Tunis to Tokyo, never ceases to fascinate.
The festival came in a particularly busy season: a few days earlier, the association had welcomed a delegation from the Japan–Tunisia Friendship Association for an evening of Ikebana, Kimono and music.
For AATUJA, these gatherings confirm a calling: to be the natural interface between Japanese culture and the Tunisian public, and to make every event an encounter between two sensibilities.
