On 17 April 2026, at Espace Zmorda, AATUJA held its 2024 and 2025 Ordinary General Meetings together with an Extraordinary General Meeting. The related documents are available below.

During Ramadan 2026, AATUJA brought its members and their Japanese friends together for a convivial Iftar in the traditional setting of Dar El Lamma.

Members are invited to the association's General Meetings (2024 & 2025 Ordinary Meetings and an Extraordinary Meeting) on Friday 17 April at 11 a.m., at Espace Zmorda.

AATUJA hosted a warm farewell lunch in honour of His Excellency Ambassador Osuga, surrounded by the members and friends of the association.

From 14 to 24 August 2025, AATUJA led a delegation to the TICAD Games in Yokohama: training camp, symposium and the launch of the Dojo project.

On 13 August 2025, AATUJA represented Tunisia at the Tunisian Pavilion of the Osaka World Expo with an original musical creation and a 17-strong Kendo delegation.

The Cité de la Culture in Tunis hosted a Taiko summer camp — the art of Japanese drumming — culminating in an on-stage performance.

On 17 July 2025, at the Residence of Japan in Gammarth, the Ambassador awarded the Order of the Rising Sun to three leading figures of cooperation between our two countries.

Tunis hosted the first edition of the Tunis International Kendo Open, bringing together kendoka from several countries under their national flags.

On 9 February 2025, AATUJA co-organised the Japanese Culture Festival at the Cité de la Culture in Tunis: Taiko, calligraphy, martial arts and Ikebana.

A delegation from the Japan-Tunisia Friendship Association, led by Tomoo Nakayama, met AATUJA members at Espace Zmorda for an evening of Ikebana, Kimono, music and calligraphy.

Master origami artist Katsukawa Higashi shared his passion for the traditional Japanese art of paper folding at Espace Zmorda in La Soukra.

In April 2024, AATUJA welcomed the delegation from the city of Seto for the twentieth anniversary of its twinning with Nabeul, marked by a Kendo and Iaido demonstration.

Ambassador Osuga, the Japanese Embassy, and JICA were welcomed to an Iftar hosted by Kamel Lagha at Dar El Lamma in Ras Jebel.

A Tunisian delegation discussed boosting kendo in Tunisia and spreading the sport across Africa during a visit to the Tunisian Embassy in Japan.

A conference led by Kitaura sensei, exploring the philosophy and aesthetics behind the traditional Japanese garden.

AATUJA hosted a welcome luncheon for the new Resident Representative of the JICA Tunisia Office, Mrs. Miyata Mayumi.

Ambassador Osuga visited the training boat Amilcar and the headquarters of Tunisia Tuna in Mahdia, highlighting Tunisia-Japan cooperation in fisheries.

Following the 2023 Elective General Meeting, AATUJA elected its Executive Board for the 2023–2026 term.
