
In April 2024, AATUJA welcomed the delegation from the city of Seto for the twentieth anniversary of its twinning with Nabeul, marked by a Kendo and Iaido demonstration.
In April 2024, AATUJA rose to the occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the twinning between Seto (Aichi Prefecture, Japan) and Nabeul.
In record time, our board arranged the reception of the Japanese delegation, led by the Mayor of Seto: a lunch of honour at the Fondouk El Attarine, a visit to the site of Carthage, and interpretation kindly provided by Mrs Olfa Daboussi.
On Sunday 21 April, our partner the Tunisian Kendo League gave a demonstration of Kendo and Iaido in Nabeul, warmly received by the delegation and the public. Two cities long linked by ceramics and craftsmanship thus renewed, twenty years on, a living and heartfelt bond.
Beyond the symbolism, the visit opened concrete prospects — notably a sports-and-culture homestay exchange programme between the young people of the two cities.
