TICAD Games 2025: AATUJA in Yokohama

From 14 to 24 August 2025, AATUJA led a delegation to the TICAD Games in Yokohama: training camp, symposium and the launch of the Dojo project.

Following on from the Osaka Expo, AATUJA took part from 14 to 24 August 2025 in the TICAD Games in Yokohama, held alongside the Tokyo International Conference on African Development.

The programme combined a week-long training camp, a symposium on friendship between continents, a day of competition and a VIP evening dedicated to the Dojo project. Kendo served as a shared language, bringing the youth of Tunisia, Japan and Africa together around the values of respect, discipline and self-transcendence.

These days confirmed cooperation with the Japan Foundation, the Tokyo Club and the Japan–Tunisia Friendship Association. The Embassy also signed the letter submitted to the All Japan Kendo Federation — a decisive step towards establishing the competition for the long term.

The TICAD Games embody the conviction that drives AATUJA: sport is one of the finest bridges between peoples.
